4. Richard Gere – Tibetan Buddhist
The “Pretty Woman” and “Chicago” star Richard Gere was raised in a Christian household in Philadelphia. But during his college years he found a religion that suited his beliefs better: he now is a practicing Tibetan Buddhist. Richard studied the Dalai Lama and is very active in charity works. Due to his support for the Dalai Lama he is at the moment even banned from China! But Gere is still popular and confident enough that the potential loss of 1 billion fans does not concern him.
